Super Dave's no 'Jackass'
here was one thing on my mind when I interviewed Super Dave earlier this month: when is he getting together with the guys from 'Jackass'?
Even though he revealed that talks are underway to resume his televised exploits from the '80s, he has no plans on going anywhere near Johnny Knoxville and company.
"Knoxville had the decency to give me the credit for coming up with the idea for his show," Bob Einstein told me. "The difference is, the guys in Jackass are jackasses. They really do go into walls face first and they have stuff shot into them."
"I’m a little more careful than that. I’m more about comedy than extreme death and pain. So, no, I will not be hooking up with the guys from Jackass."
In case you can't wait for Super Dave's return to television next year, a DVD of his favourite stunts hits stores Tuesday. Dubbed Super Dave's Super Stunt Spectacular, Vol. 1, the best-of collection includes his infamous CN Tower jump and King of the Road -- his attempt to stamp out road rage.
"I’m going on a 500-mile sing-along tour on top of a bus to end profanity on the highway," he smiled. "I couldn't do that now."
